Project Team

MARK WALKER, MD

Mark Walker is a high risk obstetrician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Ottawa Hospital. Dr. Walker is also an Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa. Dr. Walker currently holds a Career Scientist Award from the Ministry of Health of Ontario. His research involves clinical and epidemiologic studies with particular emphasis in the areas of pregnancy, thrombophilia, deep venous thrombosis, homocysteine, perinatal, pre-eclampsia, decision analysis, economic evaluation, cost benefit and cost effectiveness. Dr. Walker is the founder and director of the OMNI Research Group which is now one of the largest groups in the Clinical Epidemiology Program at the University of Ottawa.
