MARK WALKER, M.D.

Mark Walker est obstétricien, spécialisé dans les grossesses à haut risque au Département d'obstétrique et de gynécologie de l'Hôpital d'Ottawa. Il est également professeur adjoint à l'Université d'Ottawa et détient actuellement une bourse de carrière en recherche du ministère de la Santé et des Soins de longue durée de l'Ontario. Ses études cliniques et épidémiologiques touchent divers aspects, notamment la grossesse, la thrombophilie, la thrombose veineuse profonde, l'homocystéine, la période périnatale, la prééclampsie, l'analyse des décisions, l'évaluation économique, ainsi que l'analyse des rapports coûts-avantages et coûts efficacité. Le Dr Walker est le fondateur et le directeur du groupe de recherche OMNI, aujourd'hui un des plus importants groupes de recherche au sein du programme d'épidémiologie clinique, à l'Université d'Ottawa.
