Project Team

DONALD T. WIGLE, MD, PHD, MPH

After an illustrious career as a scientist with Health Canada, Don Wigle is currently an Affiliate Scientist at the McLaughlin Centre for Population Health Risk Assessment as well as an Adjunct Professor, Department of Epidemiology and Community Medicine, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa. Dr. Wigle's research interests include surveillance of chronic diseases in Canada, the assessment of chronic disease determinants including socio-economic status, occupation, environmental exposures, diet, smoking, alcohol, fertility, medical drug use, cancer control, environmental health surveillance, drinking water quality and children's environmental health. Dr. Wigle is presently working on a book examining issues in children's environmental health.
